Follow the project

Mrs. Flora BRIGET, an anatomopathology laboratory technician in Paris, fervently supports the project. To participate in its financing, she paints canvases and donates the profits to the CAFELA project.

While awaiting the reopening of borders, we are continuing, in partnership with UNFPA, to draft a project proposal in line with the future national cervical cancer screening strategy decided by the Laos Ministry of Health.

Ms Florence ADNET, director of international relations at the Hospices Civils de Lyon, offers a partnership contract with the Mahosot Hospital in Vientiane, and supports the request for funding to the FHF for the year 2021.

Funding from the hospital federation would make it possible to achieve the Vientiane - Lyon hospital partnership. The HCL administration is studying the possibilities of responding to the call for projects to be launched in the fall of 2020.

In Vientiane, we meet UNFPA, which supports reproductive health projects for young women, and in Bangkok, the cooperation services of the French Embassy. It is also an opportunity to prepare the memorandum of understanding with the director of the Mahosot hospital with a view to cooperation with the Red Cross hospital.

Professor Pluot, former department head of Reims, has worked for 10 years in the anapath laboratory at Calmette hospital. His laboratory can be a model for the organization, equipment and possible training in Laos

Meeting with Dr PHILIP responsible for the evaluation of the project on site in Vientiane at the end of April 2019 (training, internships, congresses, research) with the support of Pr. Gil DUBERNARD, head of the gynecology service of the Croix Rousse hospital and Pr. Pierre COCHAT, dean of the medical faculties of Lyon est.

At the beginning of January, meeting with Dr Alain LACHARD, former head of the pathology service at the Toulon hospital, member of the PCD association, who will participate in the evaluation of the pathology laboratory and human resources in pathology during the April 2019 mission.

For the Minister of Health, cancer prevention and women's health are priorities currently in Laos.
